Mountain Villa Where I Cook Fresh Meals for My Guests

Mountain Villa Where I Cook Fresh Meals for My Guests

The purpose of Kajak.mk is to enable everyone to earn a little extra from their homes while introducing tourists to the life of the locals in the surrounding areas. Our mission is to build greater trust in humanity by proving that anyone can be both a good host and a traveler.

To achieve this goal, we have committed to building stronger trust between guests and property owners. We’ve started by sharing the life stories of the owners whose private accommodations are listed in our database—places where you can stay.

Many of you have already visited Villa “Prevedena,” located near Bela Voda on the road between Strumica and Berovo.

The owner’s life has been spent in the mountains, in the village of Dvorishte. There, he grew up, helped his family as a child, and enjoyed his childhood years. His hometown, Dvorishte, is situated in the Maleševo region at 1,200 meters above sea level and is perfect for those who love nature and tranquility.

The name of the village comes from the ruins of an old settlement known as “Dvor.” The villagers here mainly engage in agriculture. Potatoes are the most commonly grown crop, while livestock farming is also well developed, with sheep, goats, and pigs being the primary animals raised.

Dragan grew up raising sheep with his grandfather in a place called Prevedena, and today he has built a unique villa on the very spot where they used to keep the sheep, which is now part of our accommodation base. His life story is quite interesting. When he was younger and living in Macedonia, he worked as a police officer but decided to leave that profession and move to Italy, where he worked as a chef—a career he had always been passionate about. After gaining valuable work experience in Italy, he continued his career in Africa.

A year ago, he returned to his homeland and decided to build a villa near his village—a place he had always dreamed of living. Prevedena, a place he has loved since childhood, was chosen as the perfect location for his villa. He personally drew up and designed the villa exactly as he wanted it to look.

Today, he lives and works in the village. He spends his days caring for the dogs and tending to his garden, where he grows organic plants. He cultivates tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, cabbage, spinach, parsley, basil, beans, various types of green beans, garlic, onions, potatoes, and many other plants that he uses to prepare exquisite dishes for his guests.

What makes his presence in the village unique is that during the season, guests can help themselves directly from the garden, while he prepares excellent specialties from Macedonian, Italian, and French cuisine—his personal favorites.

In the village of Dvorishte, nature itself relaxes you. Most importantly, guests here enjoy complete privacy — surrounded by clean air, free from crowds, company, and loud music.

This is a true getaway for those who want to escape everything with just one word.

Palazlija/Prevedena — two mountain passes (Palazlija at 1,145 m and Prevedena at 1,200 m) on the southern slopes of Mount Ogražden, connecting the Strumica Valley with the Maleševo region, linking the towns of Strumica with Berovo and Delčevo.
