This is what it looks like when a hotel and Mount Pelister fall in love!

The Kajak.mk team has recently explored many places around Pelister, and believe us, this is just the beginning of our traveling caravan. From the reactions we've received, we know that many of you find it hard to believe that all of this exists right here in Macedonia.

When it comes to choosing accommodation for your vacation, it’s important to distinguish between classic lodging and places that are truly “immersed” in their surroundings.

To really feel the spirit of the destination you’re visiting, it matters where you stay, who you talk to, what you want to learn, and what you should discover. This small family-run hotel, which many of you have probably heard of — Šumski Feneri — is exactly that kind of place that tells its own story about Pelister Mountain. Why do we recommend this hotel? Because it has everything.

Let's start with the basics. The hotel is located at 900 meters above sea level, nestled in a forest at the foothills of Pelister National Park, just 4 kilometers from the city of Bitola. The mountain landscapes here are stunning all year round, the fresh mountain air is revitalizing, and most importantly, the uniquely designed rooms create a feeling of a mountain escape from reality — all of which truly won our hearts.

Here’s what you need to know: each room is equipped with satellite TV, a refrigerator, a bathroom with a hairdryer, central heating, and air conditioning. Every room offers stunning views—either overlooking the valley and the city or facing the mountains.

As we mentioned, the time of your visit doesn’t matter much because there’s something to do here 365 days a year. But we’ll tell you more about the activities later.

The hotel also features a restaurant, perhaps the favorite spot for many gourmet travelers.

You should know that even though you’re staying in a hotel, the kitchen is run by masters who know how to make a truly good homemade breakfast. Our advice? Don’t miss tasting the mountain honey and homemade jam. It’s a mountain, so you can bet it’s delicious!

Besides the kitchen, the hotel also has a cozy corner in the restaurant with a stone fireplace, creating the perfect atmosphere to enjoy reading a book.
