Hristina: How Yoga Prepared Me and the Mountains Awakened Me
Hristina: How Yoga Prepared Me and the Mountains Awakened Me
We often say that nature is the best medicine, but when you add mindful breathing and yoga movements, you get a formula for complete renewal. Today, we introduce you to Hristina Jordanoska, a woman who has transformed her ten-year dedication to personal development into inspiring yoga and hiking tours across the Macedonian mountains. Read another story about our local heroine who is now part of the Kajak.mk world.
Hristina is not just an enthusiast; she is a certified yoga instructor in Hatha Yoga, Therapeutic Yoga, and also teaches Kriya Hatha and Integral Yoga. For eight years, she has actively shared her knowledge with others, believing that each of us carries a unique talent that should be shared with the world.
“Sharing the knowledge I’ve gained and witnessing the transformation in people gives meaning to my existence. We all have a skill through which we can help others, and by sharing it, we all grow stronger together,” Hristina tells Kajak.mk.

Her second greatest love is the mountains. After many years of hiking alone, practicing yoga in the fresh air, and using mindfulness techniques to recharge her energy, Hristina decided to share this experience with others.
What started as a simple walk with friends has now grown into an organized activity attracting both locals and tourists seeking an authentic experience. For Hristina, there are almost no challenges in this process—when you work with love, the path opens naturally.
To give energy to others, Hristina first nurtures her own inner source. Her day begins early at 5 a.m. with yoga and journaling. This routine allows her to maintain focus and face everyday challenges with calm.
Currently, she organizes her yoga and hiking tours mostly on weekends or by appointment, adapting to the needs of those who want to escape the city hustle.
What fulfills Hristina the most in this whole story is witnessing the transformation in people during these shared moments in nature. She finds it fascinating to observe participants, who often arrive in one mood, leaving the tour with a completely different spirit. Seeing this transition—when people become joyful, refreshed, energized, and simultaneously calm—is the moment that gives her work its deepest meaning.

Along this journey, Hristina draws her greatest support from her friends, as well as from the growing interest of people in what she offers, which further motivates her to continue spreading her vision. For her, self-care is not just a personal choice but a responsibility to practice daily. Hristina believes that only through constant learning and self-improvement can we truly be of value to those around us. Yoga gives her the awareness and vitality she needs, while the mountains are her source of health and pure joy—something she selflessly wants everyone to experience for themselves.
Although life’s plans often change, her greatest dream remains the same: for all of us to become more present and mindful—both for ourselves and for the people around us—and to recognize the exceptional importance of mountains and the protection of our planet.

For anyone who may feel a calling to start something of their own but is still hesitant, Hristina has a message that shouldn’t be ignored. She advises not to wait for the “perfect moment” but to begin immediately by sharing the gift you carry within yourself. Referring to the famous Nike slogan, she simply says: “Just do it.” All it takes is the first step, and the path will reveal itself, because the journey itself is our greatest and most important teacher.
