Not an Italian Courtyard: A Hidden Gem of a Winery in Macedonia

Not an Italian Courtyard: A Hidden Gem of a Winery in Macedonia

Surely, you have noticed that on Kajak.mk we compare many places in Macedonia with famous tourist destinations around the world. We do all of this to prove to you that Macedonia has beautiful places that deserve to be visited, offering you a unique experience.

Today, we take you to a beautiful garden, which, if you look at the photos, you would surely think is a garden in Italy or maybe even in France. However, this garden is part of the Vinar Winery near Skopje, where various events have been organized for quite some time.

If you ask us at Kajak.mk which destination we would recommend for organizing family or corporate events near Skopje, then definitely one of them would be the garden at Vinar Winery.

Vinar is our new gastro destination starting today, and you can find the phone contact and exact location with a single click HERE.

The winery is located along the banks of the Vardar River in the Gjorče Petrov neighborhood. We spoke with Mila, who opened the doors of the winery to the world of Kajak.mk. She says that the winery was founded in 2004, and currently has a production capacity of 50,000 liters of high-quality wine annually. All wines are produced from the finest grapes, reaching technological maturity, which is reflected in their name.

In 2006, Vinar started producing high-quality wines in wooden French 'barrique' barrels, which allows the wines to have a distinctive and unique aroma.

Today, guests can taste the Cabernet Sauvignon Barrique, a dry red wine with a purple-red color, subtle fruity aroma with hints of spice, wood, cherry, raspberry, and dried fruits. Also available are the barrique-aged Vranec, limited-edition Merlot, barrique-aged Syrah, and Riesling.

Regarding the space of the winery and its beautiful, spacious garden, the winery says that they are always welcoming for organizing any family or corporate events. The grounds are accessible by car or bus, and in addition to the open space, the winery also has an indoor area that functions during colder days.
