Have You Heard About the FIKA Events Held in Skopje?
In a world where everything moves too fast, the team at Kajak.mk shares with you a unique story about even more unique mini-events organized in Skopje. While some find everyday life in the city boring, others fill theirs with activities, socializing, laughter, and creativity.
Today, we want to tell you the story of the FIKA events in Skopje.
FIKA events are small gatherings held in charming Skopje cafés, where art and relaxation come together in a creative session – exactly what anyone in need of a breather and a chance to create requires.

Maja says she had been thinking for a long time about how to combine her love for art with the need for peace and relaxation in the dynamic life of Skopje. She created FIKA as a place where people can rest, create, and express their ideas in a relaxed and inspiring environment.

The concept behind FIKA is simple yet significant: to offer a creative experience where each participant can freely choose an activity that brings them joy and inner peace. Painting with pastels and watercolors, modeling with self-hardening clay, creating unique bouquets from dried flowers – everything is designed so that the creative process itself becomes a form of relaxation. For those who want to focus on their goals and inspirations, there’s also the opportunity to create a 'Vision Board' – a personal collage of ideas, dreams, and directions for the future.

The events last for two hours and include not only all the materials needed for the chosen activity but also a drink of choice, further enhancing the relaxing atmosphere. In the end, participants not only take their unique creations home as souvenirs but also carry new ideas and fresh inspiration.
FIKA is perfect for groups, birthdays, bachelorette parties, as well as for tourists who want to experience Skopje in a different way – through creativity, relaxation, and connecting with the local culture.

Maja created this story with the vision of creating a space where everyone can relieve stress, focus on themselves, and be reminded that art is a way of life.
FIKA serves as a reminder that sometimes the best thing we can do is pause for just a moment, grab a pencil, brush, or clay, and let creativity guide us.
