Young Miron Tasevski and His Family Winery in Skopje
Young Miron Tasevski and His Family Winery in Skopje
If just yesterday we were writing about family wineries primarily located in central Macedonia, specifically in the Tikveš region, today the Kajak.mk team will share the story of Miron Tasevski, who, as a young winemaker at just 27 years old, decided to open his own small family winery in the Skopje neighborhood of Čento.
Kajak.mk is constantly on the lookout for new local heroes who make small yet highly significant contributions to the development of tourism in Macedonia. Therefore, we can say that Miron is a new addition to our list of young people with a bright future.
Miron tells Kajak.mk that he opened his small family winery in 2019. This courage comes from several years of internship and work experience in various small artisan wineries, as well as in large wine industries with high production volumes. He is a graduate enologist from the Faculty of Agriculture "Kirill and Methodius," which gives him the opportunity to be the chief enologist at his winery.
After gaining experience, Miron decided to take an important step in his life and open his own small family winery named "Winery Miron." Today, the winery offers a selection of two red wine varieties: Vranec 2019, which won the gold medal in the red wine category at the "VinoTek 2020" competition in Kavadarci, and Cabernet Sauvignon 2021, which won second place at the same competition in 2021.
As the number of awards and recognitions grows, so do Miron’s aspirations. In the fall, the winery will enrich its range with white wine and will also increase production of the existing wine varieties. The winery aims to use all the grapes it produces wine from, adding natural grape juice and pasteurized must, which is non-alcoholic and contains no added sugar, to its offer.
Currently, Miron is perfecting his skills at one of the largest wineries in New Zealand, the WinLink winery, where he is gaining global knowledge in wine filtration.
If you want to support Miron, the Kajak.mk team encourages you to get in touch with the winery. More information and photos can be found with a single click HERE.
