Brewing Excellence: Continuing Our Family Coffee Tradition

Brewing Excellence: Continuing Our Family Coffee Tradition

We are committed to preserving and continuing Macedonia’s traditions — a practice that safeguards our heritage and attracts more international tourists.

We are grateful that many hosts in Macedonia still practice the traditions they inherited from their families. Whether busy with daily tasks or managing serious operations, they all find time to enjoy the little things that bring happiness to themselves and their guests.

Today, we introduce you to the host brothers of Ohrid’s Hotel “Su,” part of the Kajak.mk network, where you can book your stay with just one click HERE.

Erhan Su and Erol Su are brothers who nurture the family tradition of preparing homemade coffee. Erhan focuses on processing and serving the coffee, while Erol’s mission is to craft the best homemade burgers. Both say that the urban atmosphere of the rooftop restaurant perfectly complements the aroma of the coffee and the taste of the burgers.

The restaurant at Hotel Su is located on the rooftop. The cherry on top is the phenomenal view of the lake, the old town, and the mountain ranges—something the brothers consider essential for every guest.

The location of Hotel Su is ideal for active tourism. Mornings here can start with jogging along the Ohrid lake promenade followed by a good coffee at the restaurant.

We recommend focusing on active tourism. Our team suggests kayaking along the wild beaches of the lake, with Trpejca being an ideal spot. In the Trpejca region, you’ll find many beautiful areas where you can enjoy peace and tranquility. We also recommend trying stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), which has become very popular since last season.

This summer, you can also enjoy diving. In Ohrid, diving tours are offered at the underwater archaeological site near the "Bay of Bones." Research has shown that the bottom of this settlement contains fragmented ceramic vessels and fragmented animal bones. Info about the hotel HERE.
