Galicica Cottage with a panoramic view of the lake (Ohrid)

Have you heard of the Village Gorno Konjsko? Have you ever thought about visiting or simply moving your online office to 1100m altitude and do your daily chores with a wonderful view of Ohrid Lake?

To all our travellers out there who impatiently wait for us to find them a new hiding place in our Kayak data, this time we are revealing you a wonderful and unique Villa, located in the Village Gorno Konjsko.

For those who have not heard of this place, the Village is located in the central part of the municipality of Ohrid, not far away from the coast.

According to the folklore, the Village of Konjsko was firstly inhabited by cattle breeders who kept horses and that is how the name of Konjsko came to life. (Konj – Macedonian for Horse)

There is another story as well, saying that the name of the Village originates from this story:
some famous shepherd from the over mountain village Konjsko (near Prespa) moved into this place and named it Konjsko after his home village.

All of you, who decide to stay in Villa Grkasha will have the opportunity to meet so many shepherds who graze their sheep on the green plains. Those who love a good cheese will have the opportunity to taste home-made cheese and find it for a good price if they manage to make a good deal with the locals. Gourmands out there, are you hearing this?

Host Hristijan opens the doors to the world of Kayak and says that the peace and the tranquillity are one of the most important things that attract most of the tourists.
Nature, fresh mountain air, wonderful lake views are one of the essentials a person needs.

Tip from host Hristijan is to walk through the village and enjoy watching old houses and buildings from the past, just to capture a grasp of the village picturesquely.

Villa Grkasha is only 4km away from Hotel Metropol and the beach, and just 200m from the Villa you can find restaurants with a view of the lake and the sunset.

Sounds tempting to stay, don’t you think?
